Board of Physicians Soliciting Nominations
The Maryland Board of Physicians is soliciting nominations for four physicians to fill board member positions that will become vacant June 30, 2012. Two of the consumer member seats on the board will also become vacant on that date. Two of the physicians have already served the statutory limit of two full consecutive terms and cannot be reappointed at this time.
Call for Abstracts: 2012 AWS Starr Poster Contest
Association of Women Surgeons
The Association of Women Surgeons (AWS) is proud to announce its 6th Annual Starr Poster Contest for Medical Students and Residents. The Starr Poster Contest, named for Dr. Nina Starr Braunwald, was designed to facilitate interaction and idea exchange between students interested in surgery, surgical residents, and faculty members of various institutions. Select numbers of medical students and residents will be invited to present their research posters at the AWS 31st Anniversary Conference on Sunday, September 30, 2012 (held in conjunction with the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress).
